What is a 3d system and the difference between 2d object?
In a 3d System, an object is being represented on a 3d plane having the three dimensions i.e. height, width and breadth/depth.means a 3d object has three transform co-odinates but a 2d object has only two dimensions i.e. height and width.
What is a viewport and which is the default non-orthographic viewport?
A viewport is the different camera projections through which any object is represented by default camera present in the software, There are 14 different viewports present in 3ds max.Only perspective viewport is the non-orthographic viewport.

How many modeling techniques are there in 3ds max?
There are five modeling techniques used in 3ds max:
Poly modeling used for low-poly objects used in games/Advertisement.
Mesh modeling used for gaming.
Surface modeling used for modeling machines etc.
Patch modeling used for modeling smooth surface objects such as curtains, table cloths etc.&
Nurbs modeling used for modeling high poly objects such as highly detailed  Spaceships, Ships etc.
How many Categories of lightings are present in 3ds max?
There are two Categories of lighting present in 3ds max:
Standard  lighting/Max default lighting
Photometric lighting.
What is three point lighting technique?
A light rig containing three different lights(1 key light and 2 Fill lights illuminating a scene from three different camera angles to perfectly litup a scene in a 3d system. The light set is known as 3 point lighting.

What is  UV mapping and why is it used?
Unwrapping the normals of a 3d object in a 3d application to a 2d coordinate system so that later these can be used as a reference to texture paint in Photoshop or any image editing software. It is used to place the textures on the polygons of a 3d object in a required manner.

What  is Rigging in 3d?
A system containing a set up of bones and controllers which will drive a  3d object to give movement/motion to the different parts to give the illusion of life is known as Rigging.

What is IK and FK in 3ds max?
IK, Inverse Kinematics, refers to a process utilized in 3D computer graphic animation. In this process, the parameters of each articulation, in a jointed flexible object (a kinematic chain), will be automatically calculated to achieve a desired pose, especially when the end point moves.
Basically speaking, IK is how the child node, as it moves, effects all the parents' position and orientation values. In IK,body moves in the opposite direction of the corresponding body.

FK, Forward Kinematics, is how the positions of particular parts of a model at a specified time are calculated from the position and orientation, together with any information on them of an articulated model. To sum up, FK refers to the effect on the child nodes as the parent moves or rotates.

What is Rendering?
Rendering converts a model into an image either by simulating light transport to get photo-realistic images, or by applying some kind of style as in non-photorealistic rendering. The two basic operations in realistic rendering are transport (how much light gets from one place to another) and scattering (how surfaces interact with light). This step is usually performed using 3D computer graphics software or a 3D graphics API. Altering the scene into a suitable form for rendering also involves 3D projection, which displays a three-dimensional image in two dimensions.
