0 How Flash Game Developer Make Money ?

Facebook eclipsed Google as the number-one website by traffic in the United States in May of last year with over 500 million members. The Flash game development juggernaut, Zynga—the social-game developer behind the Farmville game for Facebook—topped $200 million of revenue in 2010. Zynga has all five of the top five grossing games for Facebook, and it creates its popular games using the Adobe Flash Platform. Flash gaming is making some serious money.

In this article, I show you how to use your Flash development skills to earn more revenue—either working alone or on a small team. And while mobile gaming is growing at a tremendous rate, most of the casual gaming is still deployed to computers because mobile devices are still somewhat limited by bandwidth and processing speed.

Revenue models for casual games vary dramatically. Online games are usually free to play, but they run on pages that feature banner advertising. Site owners earn money by driving traffic to third-party sites. Other games are free to play but incorporate product branding within the game. These "advergames" are basically one big ad, analogous to product placement. Theatrical movie websites and toy websites often incorporate advergames as part of a promotional campaign.

Another way casual games earn money is through the "freemium" business model. In this scenario, users can play the trial version for free but pay for the full premium experience. Other revenue methods include subscriptions and microtransactions.

0 3d Max basic theory

 3d Max

1.    Weld

Converts two end vertices, or two adjacent vertices within the same spline, into a single vertex. Move either two end vertices or two adjacent vertices near each other, select both vertices, and then click Weld. If the vertices are within the unit distance set by the Weld Threshold spinner (to the right of the button), they're converted into a single vertex.

2.    Connect
Connects any two end vertices, resulting in a linear segment, regardless of the tangent values of the end vertices. Click the Connect button, point the mouse over an end vertex until the cursor changes to a cross, and then drag from one end vertex to another end vertex.
3.    Insert
Inserts one or more vertices, creating additional segments. Click anywhere in a segment to insert a vertex and attach the mouse to the spline. Then optionally move the mouse and click to place the new vertex. Continue moving the mouse and clicking to add vertices. A single click inserts a corner vertex, while a drag creates a Bezier (smooth) vertex.
4.    Make First
Specifies which vertex in the selected shape is the first vertex. The first vertex of a spline is indicated as a vertex with a small box around it. Select one vertex on each spline within the currently edited shape that you want to change and click the Make First button.
5.    Fuse
Moves all selected vertices to their averaged center.
6.    Fillet
Lets you round corners where segments meet, adding new control vertices. You can apply this effect interactively (by dragging vertices) or numerically (using the Fillet spinner). Click the Fillet button, and then drag vertices in the active object.
7.    Chamfer
Lets you bevel shape corners using a chamfer function. You can apply this effect interactively (by dragging vertices) or numerically (using the Chamfer spinner). Click the Chamfer button, and then drag vertices in the active object. The Chamfer spinner updates to indicate the chamfer amount as you drag.
8.    Refine
Lets you add vertices without altering the curvature values of the spline. Click Refine, and then select any number of spline segments to add a vertex each time you click .
9.    Trim
Use Trim to clean up overlapping segments in a shape so that ends meet at a single  point.

0 3d Concepts

What is a 3d system and the difference between 2d object?
In a 3d System, an object is being represented on a 3d plane having the three dimensions i.e. height, width and breadth/depth.means a 3d object has three transform co-odinates but a 2d object has only two dimensions i.e. height and width.
What is a viewport and which is the default non-orthographic viewport?
A viewport is the different camera projections through which any object is represented by default camera present in the software, There are 14 different viewports present in 3ds max.Only perspective viewport is the non-orthographic viewport.

How many modeling techniques are there in 3ds max?
There are five modeling techniques used in 3ds max:
Poly modeling used for low-poly objects used in games/Advertisement.
Mesh modeling used for gaming.
Surface modeling used for modeling machines etc.
Patch modeling used for modeling smooth surface objects such as curtains, table cloths etc.&
Nurbs modeling used for modeling high poly objects such as highly detailed  Spaceships, Ships etc.
How many Categories of lightings are present in 3ds max?
There are two Categories of lighting present in 3ds max:
Standard  lighting/Max default lighting
Photometric lighting.
What is three point lighting technique?
A light rig containing three different lights(1 key light and 2 Fill lights illuminating a scene from three different camera angles to perfectly litup a scene in a 3d system. The light set is known as 3 point lighting.

What is  UV mapping and why is it used?
Unwrapping the normals of a 3d object in a 3d application to a 2d coordinate system so that later these can be used as a reference to texture paint in Photoshop or any image editing software. It is used to place the textures on the polygons of a 3d object in a required manner.

What  is Rigging in 3d?
A system containing a set up of bones and controllers which will drive a  3d object to give movement/motion to the different parts to give the illusion of life is known as Rigging.

What is IK and FK in 3ds max?
IK, Inverse Kinematics, refers to a process utilized in 3D computer graphic animation. In this process, the parameters of each articulation, in a jointed flexible object (a kinematic chain), will be automatically calculated to achieve a desired pose, especially when the end point moves.
Basically speaking, IK is how the child node, as it moves, effects all the parents' position and orientation values. In IK,body moves in the opposite direction of the corresponding body.

FK, Forward Kinematics, is how the positions of particular parts of a model at a specified time are calculated from the position and orientation, together with any information on them of an articulated model. To sum up, FK refers to the effect on the child nodes as the parent moves or rotates.

What is Rendering?
Rendering converts a model into an image either by simulating light transport to get photo-realistic images, or by applying some kind of style as in non-photorealistic rendering. The two basic operations in realistic rendering are transport (how much light gets from one place to another) and scattering (how surfaces interact with light). This step is usually performed using 3D computer graphics software or a 3D graphics API. Altering the scene into a suitable form for rendering also involves 3D projection, which displays a three-dimensional image in two dimensions.

0 My some Photoshop work

Here is my some Photoshop work.

0 Reality of Animation Industry in India

I post this article because I'm animation student in Arena Animation (Durgapur).
and I know what is reality. This is no matter Animation industry is good or bad. The main matter is Animation scope and salary. of course their is huge scope in Bangalore and Mumbai but salary is not good.  fresher got only 36000-65000 yearly (according to Naukri.com, Shine.com and Monster.com). a BPO(call center) employee got starting 5800/mo, it's mean 70000/yearly. and everyone know, to joining BPO(call center) no high education required. so why we invest 1.5 lakh to learn animation ?
someone told me to BPO industry is bad because their is no chance to promotion. but it's not truth. when you joining GPRS department in BPO than you got starting per month 8000 rupees.
all in one Animation industry is not good in India. but in foreign huge scope in Animation. so after complete your course join foreign Animation company like "MANGA".
I post another review in my next post.I'm waiting for your response Guys. Bye take care.

0 2d Animation e-project - arena animation (durgapur)

Today i received my 2d animation project from aptech.

Project details :
Visual impact of the animation:
One fine morning, a minister from Emperor Akbar's court had gathered in the assembly hall. He informed the Emperor that all his valuables had been stolen by a thief the previous night.

Akbar was shocked to hear this because the place where that minister lived was the safest place in the kingdom.

He invited Birbal to solve the mystery. Birbal said "It is definitely not possible for an outsider to enter into the minister's house and steal the valuables. This blunder is definitely committed only by another minister of that court." Saying so, he arranged for a donkey in a separate room. He ordered all the courtiers to go in to the room and  lift the donkey's tail and say "I have not stolen."

Birbal added "Only then we can judge the culprit." After everyone had finished, he asked the courtiers to show their palm to him. All the courtiers except Alim Khan had a black patch of paint on their palm. Birbal had actually painted the donkey's tail with a black coat of paint. In the fright, the guilty minister did not touch the donkey's tail at all. Thus Birbal once again proved his intelligence and was rewarded by the king with 1000 gold coins.

It’s just a written concept you have to visualize the screenplay yourself and present it attractively.

Note:  Go through the each point carefully.

a) Try to make the output with proper scene division, and with different camera views.
b) It has to be 2D animation video.
c) The video should have the voiceover and the same as subtitles.
d) Use smart/clearly readable font types and colors.
e) The video should also have the slides for developers name and roles.
f) You need to write the entire making (from project planning to delivery) of the project in the documentation.
g) The duration of the video would be sixty second (maximum).
h) Try to displays facial expressions of the characters (in conversation or thinking/telling something to others) in close up view with proper scene division and facial expressions.
